Vibrant Air Pollution Awareness Contest at Kim Xuyen and Thanh Hai Secondary Schools
On April 10, 2025, Kim Xuyen Secondary School and Thanh Hai Secondary School successfully organized meaningful extracurricular activities as part of a contest to learn about and raise awareness of air pollution (AP). The program aimed to help students better understand the impacts of air pollution on human health and the environment, while also inspiring creativity and a sense of community responsibility among them.
At Kim Xuyen Secondary School, the contest took place in an exciting atmosphere with two main activities:
-
Air Pollution Knowledge Quiz: Students answered multiple-choice questions to reinforce their understanding of the causes, consequences, and solutions for protecting clean air.
-
Art Contest on the theme “Stop Open Burning – Protect the Air, Protect Life”: Students expressed unique perspectives, creative ideas, and positive messages through vibrant, colorful paintings.
At Thanh Hai Secondary School, students participated in:
-
Creative Model Presentation: Students designed and presented innovative models to reduce air pollution, such as “For a Green Planet,” “Reducing Straw Burning,” and “Factories Producing Heat-Resistant Materials from Straw.” These models not only reflected creativity but also scientific thinking and impressive presentation skills.
-
Art Contest: Once again, drawing became a platform for students to convey environmental protection messages through art.
From Awareness to Action
The two contests attracted the active participation of hundreds of students and teachers. Through these activities, students not only improved their knowledge but also developed critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills. Such initiatives serve as important stepping stones to spread the spirit of environmental protection and to build a green, clean, and beautiful future starting right from schools.
